Poster Planters: Peeling Back the Layers
In our latest edition we featured Toronto's recent planter intervention: organzied by Sean Martindale, artists creatively reworked dozens of the city's crumbling concrete tree planters. Martindale's efforts to "activate public space" have been realized in previous street projects. A couple of years ago he teamed up with Eric Cheung to create Poster Planters - slicing, peeling and folding through layers of posters to create urban pockets of flowers and foliage.
